COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, amber hue and full-bodied flavor begin with roasted, domestic caramel malt. It’s sweetness is then tempered with genuine Cascade hops, which are added again at the end of the boil for a distinctive, citric-floral aroma.

giraffe dun color. the head waves hello and au revoir in pretty much the same gesture. caramel apricot aroma, rich but not perfumy, hop and malt seem balanced. sweet and caramel grassy flavor starts but deftly passes the baton to the hop bitterness mid swallow. middle of the road body and effervescence. respectable beverage.

It is a well rounded Amber Ale, the finish could be a little nicer. The aroma is very malty, almost a little too malty. It looks beautiful though and the taste is pretty good. A tiny bit on the bitter side, but I would definately try this one again.

Not the best amber on the market, but a solid buy. The aroma is a little odd, but the taste is better than average. A winner.

Big taste makes this Amber a good choice.

Clear amber in color, beige head and average lace. Nice nose, malt and a tad citrus. Sweet malt start, medium top, nice hop finish, dry, acidic, moderate carbonation, a great ’Session’ beer.

This is Mac’s main offering, and its so mass produced now its lost some of it original quality. Still very drinkable on a hot day if you want something not so heavy.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2003 Very clear amber with a medium head. Good hop balance; almost tastes like it was dry hopped while in secondary fermentation. Slightly complex aftertaste - the malt is quite apparent on the burp. A good, not great amber from Mac.

It has a wine taste, sweet grapes. Too sweet for my taste. Very thin. I certainly didn’t catch all the hops it boasts, unless they are the cause for the over sweetness.

A nice amber. Light, caramel taste up front with a light hop taste on the end. Refreshing.
