Amber in color, with a hoppy, honeyed aroma, and biscuity, yet watery flavor.

On draught at Portland City Grill. Definitive NW amber ale. Smooth malt flavor and not-too-strong hop aftertaste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an amber color with a thick white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of citrus, floral and caramel. Tastes of caramel and light malt and is a little hoppier than most amber ales. Mouthfeel is creamy with great carbonation. Overall this is a pretty good amber ale for the price.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Really light for a red ale, hoppy and lightly fruited, zero nose but smooth. Get a pitcher of this in Portland, other than that don’t waste your time.

Light aroma, not distinctive. Cloudy brown appearance. Watery hops taste, but goes does easy.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger of creamy off-white head that settles down to leave some nice soapy lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted malts and caramel with citrus hops. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness with some light roasted malt bitterness and a bold citrus hoppy finish. Medium body and light carbonation. A tasty amber ale that was truly appreciated.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2013 I have a pint bottle of this brew, it contains 5.1% alcohol for those interested. I’m surprised there aren’t more ratings (as of now I am the third), because I see this stuff all over the place here in the Pacific Northwest. Well the bottle says its an Amber, and this website says its an Irish Ale, and my taste buds tell me it’s an IPA. What to do? I’ll rate it according to my palate, and my tongue, and my belly which tells me there are much better beers in this world.
Earlier Rating: 9/10/2011 Total Score: 2.6
Not bad at all. I had a glass of this at Mac’s bar, which has no relation to this beer.
New Rating Feb. 5th, 2013. Still about the same as before. Hoppy. 2.5 overall.
