This 22 oz bottle came from Market of Choice in Ashland, Oregon, and poued a very dark brown with big foamy tan head and lots of lacing rings. The nose is just like roasted coffee. The body is a bit thin with smooth mouthfeel and light carbonation. The flavor is freshly brewed coffee with lots of roasted malts. Bitter finish. This is about about as coffee flavored as coffee beer can get but somehow it all works. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - MAR 23, 2010
22 oz. bottle via trade with highibus - Pours a dark brown color with a small light tan head. Aroma is mostly coffee and roasted malt. Well, so was the flavor. Some bitterness lingers in the finish. Medium body. A nice typical coffee stout. Thanks Tom. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Dark brown pour, beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate and a good dosse of coffee. Flavor is roasty and has a flavor of spent coffee grounds. Not bad. Rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAR 21, 2010

Aroma – Big Coffee and chocolate with the added dark roasty malt adds to the aroma.
Appearance – Dark Brown in color, Clear with a thin brown head.
Flavor – Big Coffee and chocolate flavors. This was thick with flavors and the malt added to this. The alcohol was high but hard to taste.
Palate – Big thick mouthfeel was very smooth.
Overall – This was a tasty big dark nasty beer. Good stuff for the cold night.
22 oz bomber.
Great looking beer black as far as my eye can see..with a large tight bubbly tan head
Aromas of dark chocolate and dark roasted coffee, the aroma though doesnt jump out at ya.
The taste however does jump out at ya!
Very good dark roast coffee flavours, with roasted, burnt oat, dark dried fruits, and some resin like hopping in the background.
Great mouthfeel on this one, pretty smooth yet with loads of stuff going on.
Overall very good from Macs.
Not top class but very good coffee flavours IMO.
For $2.99 this is excellent value. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2010
22. Pours jet black with a loose, creamy tan head that doesn’t hang around for too awfully long. Dense smears of craggy lace coming down the sides of the glass. Big coffeeish nose, very much like a hot mug or a big pot of roasty beans. Some roast and dark chocolate in there, but mostly coffee. Creamy medium body, understated carb. Coffee/espresso, very good stuff, too, permeates the mid-palate. Roast and chocolate fill it out. Roasty, earthy bitterness near the end, seems as much like a coffee bitterness as a boiled hop bitterness. Not very complex, but what’s here is a nice drinker. Fills the glass with its sasparilla black body with a lush chocolate head. Intensely sharp espresso roast nose, roasty barley, and a quality I would liken to a chocolate covered espresso bean. Robust coffee flavor with coffee bean grittiness and a subtle, deep vinous venin. Mildly acrid coffee smoke finish. This concoction completely realizes the coffee beer synthesis. A must for coffee and beer aficionados. robforbes (2246) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - JAN 9, 2010
pours a jet black with a small brown head, and some lacing.
smell is of cocoa, coffee, prune, and a little vanilla.
taste is tart, sour malt, chocolate, vanilla, and some coffee, end is dry, a little sour, and somewhat bitter. Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 1, 2010
22 oz bottle from Thriftway - Has a bit of a brownish tint to the foam. Smells and tastes a bit peppery with a hint of coffee. Not a bad beer, but honestly, I liked it less the more of it I had.
