The best thing about this coffee imperial stout is that the coffee isn’t that strong at all. This really has a pretty smooth finish to it and a nice tasty almost creamy body. Good stuff.

Very tasty. Smooth with slight coffee overtones. Really dark liquid with an inch of foam. Really good.

A strong Imperial Stout that is hard to come by. It’s also coffee flavored, so it’s easy to drink.

Black with a beige head. Strong notes of coffee with a slight alcohol smell. Great coffee taste with a malty finish. Excellent Imperial Stout, especially for the price

Bitter stout. Pours black. As an imperial, I was expecting more body in the mouthfeel, particularly in light of the ABV of 9%. Coffee flavor not as pronounced as expected -- big flavors here are roasted malts and bitterness. Good, but was expecting "more." ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours almost black with a light brown thick foam. Nice aroma of malt, caramel, chocolate and caramel. Taste is very balanced malty chocolate sweet caramel with a coffee finish. Mild carbonation with a lighter than expected mouthfeel. This is a great beer. Easy drinking for 9% beer. Get some if you can.

July 1, 2013. Bomber. Surprise find in the local grocery. Pretty much everything you’d expect to find in a quality Imperial Stout. Outstanding roasty, dark chocolate/coffee aroma/taste. Not terribly heavy. Well balanced & smooth. A pleasantly-bitter, if somewhat subdued, finish. Not over the top in any respect. Nice recipe - would definitely have this again.

Fills the glass with its sasparilla black body with a lush chocolate head. Intensely sharp espresso roast nose, roasty barley, and a quality I would liken to a chocolate covered espresso bean. Robust coffee flavor with coffee bean grittiness and a subtle, deep vinous venin. Mildly acrid coffee smoke finish. This concoction completely realizes the coffee beer synthesis. A must for coffee and beer aficionados.

22 oz bomber. Great looking beer black as far as my eye can see..with a large tight bubbly tan head Aromas of dark chocolate and dark roasted coffee, the aroma though doesnt jump out at ya. The taste however does jump out at ya! Very good dark roast coffee flavours, with roasted, burnt oat, dark dried fruits, and some resin like hopping in the background. Great mouthfeel on this one, pretty smooth yet with loads of stuff going on. Overall very good from Macs. Not top class but very good coffee flavours IMO. For $2.99 this is excellent value.
