Coffee-brown in color with some off-white head that settles off. Roasty aroma, with some aging notes. Light roasty flavor. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - APR 24, 2013
Bottle:   Deep deep ruby, not even so much a brown, thin sudsy pale tannish head, little lacing.   Somewhat of a musty dark pitted fruit aroma, a bit stale and soy sauce like.   Roasty, a bit salty, almost like charred
wood but its something else.   Lacks depth, richness, and body.   Mainly comes across as an over the hill weak dubbel that is only slightly roasty.   The roasted character comes and goes quickly.   Way too thin, and lacks
depth and general Baltic Porter character.   Damnit! fiulijn (20515) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 25, 2013

Dark mahogany color with creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel and apples. Smooth mouthfeel; Caramel flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, light fruity touch (apples), correct bitterness, some darker caramel and lightly roasted malts in the end.
Feels a bit industrial, but it’s not bad.

smell is of cocoa and sweet roasted malt.
taste is oily, molasses, malt, a slight amount of sweetness, and cocoa. ends thick. brewguru627 (2) - - OCT 22, 2012 does not count
Not many Baltic Porters out there in the region. Mac’s does a phenomenal job with this one!

Sample at the Pyramid Seattle brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Medium body with a roasty character and notes of sweet malt, coffee and hops. The finish is short with a malty aftertaste.

Ok beer but nothing fabulous rayOfBeer (674) - El Cerrito, California, USA - NOV 21, 2011
Bomber: pours dark red/brown with a smallish creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet with roasted malt, coffee, and cola. Flavor is malty sweet with a little cola, coffee, light roast grain, and toast. Palate is sticky with mostly sweet and a very light tartness. I rather like this beer, drinking on a chilly evening after dinner, dessert more or less. troopie (2341) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - NOV 2, 2011

Bottle @ The BeerMongers... Poured deep, dark brown with a tan head. Quite carbonated with some lager-ish yeast tones, significant amounts of roast, charred grains, toasted sweetness, and a faint bitterness.
