Bottled. Nut brown. Loads of caramel up front. Sweet big crystal malt character and clean mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Not bad, but lacks malt character, and is not even remotely in the style it states. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 5, 2002
Clear copper body with medium light tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel nicely balanced by healthy spiciness. Interesting flavor -- very sweet malty, but also quite spicy and with decent hops. hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 2, 2003
Sparkling clear copper lager.
The aroma is malty with notes of caramel. Nicely balanced flavor due to a nice spiciness. Very decently hopped. Another Oktoberfest beer... what can I say? Not my thing. Still, great for the style!

Notes from last Thanksgiving. Rich deep copper pour, with aroma of caramel malt, toffee, some spices. Tastes as it smells, with some finishing hops and spice. bb (9289) - Alamo, California, USA - OCT 27, 2003
Draft. Amber color with a good head. The malts are a bit too string and could be a bit more mellow.

Copper hue with good head and very good lace. The aroma is caramelize malts, tangy and citrus hops, and a bit of sweet spice. The initial sweetness is balanced by a hop zing on the finish making this a rather enjoyable brew. Lingering maltiness and medium-bodied mouthfeel. Better than average fest bier. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 2, 2003
Copper color with a light tan head. Sweet potato aroma. Sweet malt start with a later toastiness that kicks in. Astringent in the finish. Spicy hops mid gulp. Muddled flavors and ear cloying sweetness distract. thedm (6186) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 13, 2003
This brew poured a medium head of finely sized light brown slowly diminishing bubbles that left a slight lacing and a hazy transparent light brown uncarbonated body behind. THis brew also has a very nice aroma to it with notes of malted caramel and brown sugar sweetness to it. Oh my, the taste is also very fine with a nice combination of malt and roasted caramel notes to it. its mouthfeel is very smooth and plesant. A very nice brew indeed. My compliments to the brewmaster. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 18, 2003
Pellucid auburn color, light average head, simetrical but evaporative. Light caramel aroma with a touch of cinnamon and roast. Flavor is initially sweet but not overly complex. This finishes all the way to the end but is very watery and average for an oktoberfest. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 29, 2002
Medium copper color, small head. A medium bodied Marzen style ale. Rich slightly sweet malt flavor, with a nice spicy hoppyness. Smooth taste. Full flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is malty and slightly sweet.
