Pours hazy, brown-amber with a small, off-white head.
Scent is malty, a little nutty sweetness.
Taste is caramel over earthy hops...
Very smooth. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - SEP 28, 2012
Tap at Warsaw location. Sweet buttery caramel malt and fruity aroma. Amber with a small off-white head. Fruity caramel malt flavor. Medium body. Nice easy drinking malt forward beer. hoffrobert (178) - Indiana, USA - JUN 30, 2012
12 oz bottle. Has an amber/copper color. Smell a bit unpleasant like a macrobrew. Taste is better,,, decent caramel color. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - APR 13, 2012
Bottle; Pour is murky dark golden brown with a fine bubbled khaki head in this glass; mild retention, mild lacing as well. The nose is fruity, nutty, caramel notes I suppose. The flavor profile is apple skins, caramel, bread, roastiness... and a general feeling of mediocrity to me. SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - APR 6, 2012
Draft: Poured a light amber with thin lacing head. Aroma is sweet malt and bit of roastiness. Taste is very smooth with malts, left a bit dry tongue.

Hazy amber-brown with a very small white ring of bubbles. The aroma is mostly Elmers glue with some caramel, metallic and sour notes. The flavor is very light caramel with some sour tang on the finish. Very light, watery body with moderately fizzy carbonation. Perhaps this one is old since I got it out of a single cooler, but still doesn’t have much in the way of flavor. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 5, 2011
bottle... medium amber with some orange, watery light tan head... smells mostly of wet dog with rye malt, meh... tastes terrible, bitter skunk water, don’t bother ESBob (379) - Indiana, USA - MAR 19, 2011
On Tap. Pours a copper red hue, decent head, but dissipated quickly, some nice lacing though. Aroma is very light mix of roast malt and hops. An easy drinker, but not very complex. A rich man’s Killians Red. GoldenVoice (2) - Ohio, USA - FEB 12, 2011 does not count
Pours to a caramel-red color with a thin-medium creamy head. Smells nutty and hoppy. The best part of this beer is how it goes down. I was expecting an oaky-ness from the aromas, but was surprised by a more subtle hint of caramel flavors with a refreshing end. VERY smooth. Bought the Auburn Lager in Auburn, IN and it is a decent beer that accents the feel of the region. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2010
On tap at the Warsaw location. ’Auburn’ in color with a small sized head. Aromas and tastes of some caramel with some toasty graininess.
