Draft at Mad Anthony Brewing. Poured black with a medium light brown head that diminished slowly. Medium roasted malt and sweet tone aroma. Medium to full body with smooth texture. Muted nitro dry stout flavor with smooth medium finish. Solid to style.

Sample at the Ft. Wayne brewpub. Brown-black color with a medium creamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate aroma. Light-bodied with a roasty coffee and malt character with some chocolate and mild hops in the background. The dinish is bittersweet chocolate and malt. Decent overall.

Taster on tap at the brewpub. Very dark brown red color, clear. Thin light brown head. Bits of sort of loose lace. Good roast malts, coffee in the nose. Hint of dark chocolate. Nice btiterness, little sweet. Lighter body, creamy lighter smooth carbonation. Good light easy-drinking but flavorful dry stout. Lightly dry finish.

Tap: at source (Ft. Wayne) Pours black with a creamy, brown head. Scent is gourmet coffee....chocolate and cream. Taste is creamy chocolate and coffee... Very silky. Not very strong, but the ultra smooth feel makes up for it..... Great.

BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - OCT 19, 2003
Nearly opaque with reddish tint. Has a average dark brown head and good lace. Nice aroma of dark bread, molasses, dark chocolate, mild coffee, earthy yeast, smoke, and vanilla. Nutty malt taste with a mild bitter and smoky undertone. Short thin mouthfeel, watery and fizzy. Nitro pour, tasty but just too thin. Overheard Jeff say "I have actually played powderpuff monopoly" while drinking this with theDM Ft. Wayne party gathering...hum

Nitro. Near black pour with a creamy, khaki colored head of foam. The aroma has a lot of roasty character. Big notes of roasty coffee and bitter dark chocolate. Velvety mouthfeel. Low carbonation and light body.

Tap at Mad Anthony. A pretty solid Irish Stout. Smooth creamy chocolate, caramel. Bitter balance. Rich cocoa finish, some chocolate syrup, but plenty balanced out by the hops. Well done. Guiness-ish is a lot of ways, but better.
