12oz bottle shared by garthicus. Light clear amber pour with a small frothy off-white head. "WTF?!!!" - smells bitter, a bit fusel, somewhat unpleasant - barely a 5. Tastes of Liptons tea, orange zest, alcohol and perhaps some floral bitterness - way better than the aroma!!! Light-bodied, and weakly carbonated, with a somewhat dry, lightly astringent bitter finish - something weird and sort of unpleasant about this - it’s too thin, too. garthicus (2942) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 15, 2010
Appearance: light orange, small white head. Aroma: hmmm weird, onion but not unpleasant, hops, pine, varnish, strawberry. Flavour: malty, lots of salt & hops, onion again. How weird, tangy lemon and a long bitter finish. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JUL 25, 2010
RBSG 2010 rate. 12 oz bottle courtesy of hotstuff (I think). Pours a copper color with a big white head. Aroma is complex citrus with grapefruit, lemons and oranges. The flavor was not quite as bold as the aroma; light grapefruit, mild pine and some caramel malts. Palate was light with good carbonation. Finishes long and bitersweet. Overall: Very session-able IPA. pinion (12) - , Indiana, USA - JUL 24, 2010
I dig this beer. I’m usually all about some Two Hearted or Alpha King and this one is going to fit right in there as one of my usual IPA choices along side those two. Sweet and sticky aroma accompanies the golden color of this beer. Great bitter bite up front that follows through to a bitter yet sweet finish. SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2010
A- Body is a very cloudy, translucent rusty amber hue. Pours with a 1-2 finger foamy white head that eventually fades to about 1/2 finger and retains well from there. Some lacing left behind in the glass.
S-This has a nice, bright, hoppy nose. Citrus (grapefruit) hops come through the most with some earthy hops also. Citrus is really the dominant scent but maybe a hint of sweet malt can be picked up underneath.
T-The flavor upfront is a mix of citrus hop flavors and bitterness, deep in the background is a pale malt sweetness. Some earthy hop flavor comes through for the finish, which is very clean. All that is left to linger is a hint of citrus flavor and a very minimal residual hop bitterness. Overall flavor is more subtle than most IPAs.
P-Low to medium carbonation and smooth body. The hop oils are there but subdued.
O- The lighter character of this one makes is very tasty and drinkable. This is a pretty good IPA. I’ve been impressed with these first 2 offerings from Mad Anthony.

Amber, slighty hazed with a large frothy taupe top that rolls away slowly. Aroma of heavy citrus led by fresh grapefruit mixed with some floral hops and a touch of dusty sweet malt. Taste of heavy grapefruit and mild malt with medium grapefruit on the finish. Somewhat bitter and definitely one dimensional which detracts from it a little. jkwalking05 (4743) - Arlington, Texas, USA - NOV 7, 2009
