Draft at Twenty Tap. Coffee, dark chocolate malt and light ash aroma. Black with small tan head. Sweet lightly acidic chocolate malt flavor. Body thin and watery. A bit harsh. JStax (7125) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - APR 20, 2014
Served on draft. Pours a brown color with a khaki head. Aroma is big coffee, reminds me of chicory, with some pepper notes in there as well. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Low to medium carbonation. ESBob (379) - Indiana, USA - NOV 17, 2012
On Tap, into Growler. Pours a pitch black with very little, if any head. Dark roast and burnt coffee aromas. Tast is combination of roast coffee, malt and some slight toffee notes. Could use a more mouthy feel, but if you like coffee, this porter is for you! queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - AUG 31, 2012
Tap at Warsaw brewpub. Coffee, chocolate, sweet lactose aroma... smells like a sweet cappuccino. Black with a small creamy tan head. Dark roasted coffee, light chocolate, and ash flavor. Thin watery body and light carbonation. Overall, there was a slightly watery quality to both the flavor and body, but it was still pretty good.

Draft @ MABC: Pours a jet black with some mahogany around the edges and a medium-sized tan head. Immediately the coffee hits upon the glass arriving, notes of dark malts and an underlying bitter dark chocolate come in to the fold but this is mainly all about the coffee. Medium-full bodied mouth feel, perfectly carbonated. Flavor is all dark malts and coffee with some subtle chocolate flavors lingering. Good stuff and another solid brew from MABC. Draft at Warsaw location. Poured dark brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted dark chocolate bittersweet flavor with a medium sweetbitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met. On tap at Mad Anthony and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark brown with a thick, creamy tan head that quickly settled. A decent amount of lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of strong coffee notes and a bit of chocolate. The flavor was dominated by rich, strong coffee with a touch of chocolate and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and just a tad thin with a moderate amount of carbonation. An easy drinking porter with a nice coffee flavor. hopslovin (194) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 27, 2007
Growler. Black pour with off-white head. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malt aromas. Chalky, mildly bitter chocolate and coffee flavors. Medium mouthfeel. Dry chocolate finish. thedm (6309) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 1, 2006
This draft brew from the brewery during the Fort Wayne Locals Tasting event on 2/4/06 poured a small sized head of brown colored frothy fine to medium sized bubbles that were served mostly diminished. The body was dark black in color and very much opaque with no hope of viewing the carbonation. It left behind a fair lacing. It had a mild malty aroma with a mouth feel that was nicely tingly at the start with a nice hoppy note and a finish of mild coffee aftertaste. The flavor was a nice mix of mild coffee dark malt and hops.
