Taster on tap at the brewpub. Labeled simply "Porter". Dark brown color. Thin off-white head, decent ropes of lace. Very nice big coffee flavor, hint of dark fruit. Light roast malt, good long coffee aftertaste. Light to medium body. Lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, lighter sweet. Very good porter. Pours dark brown/black with a medium creamy tan head. The aroma is faint roast, coffee, and chocolate. The taste is coffee, roast, semi-sweet chocolate, and some burnt notes. Chalky texture and mouthfeel. A bit bland but it’s ok.
