Nicely done pale lager. Has many ale attributes fer sure. Aroma is a beer with some personality. When poured, there is some gunk on the bottom of the bottle, just like many unfiltered ales. Taste is a tad bitter but a little more astringent than your typical pils, actually in a more hoppy way. I thought I new the difference between ale and lager but this beer makes me think twice. Since I lean towards lager, I’m not really sure if I can appreciate this brew. Certainly a unique beer that finishes like it was about 5%. donteatpoop (127) - Youngstown, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2009
The hops in this were very floral and citrusy and very present by nose and tongue.
Has a great balance, the malts are there but really only seem to serve to accentuate the hop falvours rather than take any depth onto themselves. In the malt’s defense, however; it would be difficult to top the hops on this one. JaBier (7973) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - OCT 4, 2009
12oz bottle from the Brewkeeper. Clear deep gold color with a medium white head. Malty aroma with some corn, caramel and vanilla characteristics and a touch of hop. Sweet and bready malt flavor with a crisp hop finish. Not bad for the style. MrBunn (2826) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Bottle. Pours a medium gold with a dense but small head. Aromas are fairly light... a bit of bread and apple-like fruitiness. Flavor isn’t bad. There is a bit of a bitterness that weaves in and out with dough and apple flavors. It is a little more viscous than most light lagers.
