33 cl bottle at El Pavón, Madrid. It pours nicely hazy dark brown with reddisth hues, big fluffy foamy tan head. Aroma is quite intense and nice: cocoa, coffee, blackberrries. Pours hazy amber with some off white head. Moderate head retention, some rough scattered lacing. Strong malty sweet nose, caramel, herbal, ripe fruit, licorice notes. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is moderate bitter, a bit stale flavours, herbal, caramel, little roasty. Bitter finish, some high alcohols-fusels that warm up the palate.
Draft glass @ Beerlovers Bar. Dark ruby red amber, tanned head. Nose is metallic herbal syrup, cough syrup, bitter herbal, heavy & far too heavy on the medicinal cough syrup. Taste is very bitter cough syrup, sweet sugar, far too heavy on herbal cough syrup, sugar medicinal. Body is likewise cough syrup. Gushing to huge, irregular, yellow head, stable and lacey, over very carbonated, fully hazy red-amber beer. Lots of fruity hops, caramel, greenery, parsley, thyme. Bitterish-roasted, green leaves, caramel-roasted-too-far. Leafy finish, very slightly peppery. Good body, good carbonation, certain slickness. Caramel sweeter in the aftertaste.
