COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English-style Ordinary Bitter that was inspired by an old British brewery recipe for an Edwardian Luncheon ale. Imported English pale malt paired with a light use of crystal and brown malts round out the light hop flavors of the imported English hop varietal First Gold. A very low alcohol brew that brings to one’s mind the term "Sessionable." Cheers!

3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Light amber pour with a small khaki head. Caramel and maltiness in the aroma, touches of earthiness, black tea, and pit fruits. Similar flavor, lots of caramel maltiness, some biscuit, more tea and fruitiness. Not bad.

Tap at Mad Fox. Sparkling deep golden. Medium white foam. Nose is sweet fruit juice, mild oddities. Taste is sweet fruit juice with big grassy hops, mealy apple, odd mealy texture. Herbal hoppy body is nice. Easy to put down. Texture is off putting though.

On cask at the brewpub, and how nice to find something on cask that really ought to be on cask, rather than the 12& abv peppercorn-and-PBJ sort of nonsense. This is a ruddy-gold, dusty-bitter ale with malt and tea like flavors melding together, and a touch of marmalade. Homey.
