Appearance: medium dark brown (porter-like) with a short, creamy light tan head. Aroma: nice aroma of milk chocolate, molasses, and caramel. Taste: molasses, treacle, milk chocolate, lightly toasted nuts, earthy, grassy hops. Finish: smooth, lingering nutty and molasses sweetness. Notes: Really enjoyable mild ale. Cask pour. Pours a clear brown with a beige head. The aroma is fairly dull with just a touch of biscuit and caramel coming through. Sweet and carrot cake notes in the taste. Light in body and with low carbonation.

16oz pour at the brewery pours a clear dark amber with some creamy white head. Nose is very mild, cracker, some yeast, bread crust. Flavor has plenty of bread crust, whole wheat floured, mild fruit, plum, raisin. Clean finish. Sessionable.
