16oz pour at the brewery pours a clear dark amber with some creamy white head. Nose is very mild, cracker, some yeast, bread crust. Flavor has plenty of bread crust, whole wheat floured, mild fruit, plum, raisin. Clean finish. Sessionable. Nuffield (4187) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 25, 2013
There’s a bonus point or two for any brewer willing to try this style and keep the abv below 3.5. It is doubly nice to have it on a handpull, though the palate wasn’t as smooth as it should have been. Malty, caramelly, moderately rich notes. But in the end, it achieves the goal of a mild, which is to be drinkable but not special--a beer for every day. (on handpull, Church Key, Washington DC)
