Rich, super hazy deep brown coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall light brown head and a touch of oil on top as well. Aroma of pungent, deep oak, alcohol, bourbon, brown sugar and even some vanilla - very strong and nice for the style. Full-bodied; Strong rich malt, earth, peat, smoked grain, alcohol, bourbon, vanilla, brown sugar and molasses flavours throughout with a particularly strong peaty and toffee flavour that seems to last for a few minutes after a sip. Aftertaste shows the bourbon very well, some honey, grain, alcohol, rich vanilla and molasses and way more bourbon with the roasted malt and raisin flavours. Overall, a nice and rich beer that shows its flavours well and the malt even better. Worth trying if you can find this, and i’m glad I did! I sampled this ten ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia at the end of my driveway on 12-November-2016 for US$6,00. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon toasted sweet flavor with medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good complex beer. GenDV138 (7285) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - SEP 15, 2015

22 oz bottle from Nimbleprop with Tmoney99. Pours an opaque caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have toffee, ripe fruits, dates, some tart character, a splash of cherry, oak, vanilla, bourbon/whiskey character that imparts some booziness, interesting. Pours dark brown, a bit of foam. Aroma is quite interesting, green apple, smooth and a bit of caramel. Taste is multi-layered. Has some subtle caramel malt, clean, nice cocoa beans and still some green apple. Hops also there shining through especially from the end. Superbly balanced, well made.

Mahogany color, with thin head.. Lots of oak vanilla, chocolate, Bon bons, cherries, oranges. Very malty. Slightly boozy. Sweet nose. Bourbon is fairly subdued and well integrated. Very malty. One of the maltier beers I’ve had from the U.S. could be from Scotland. The mouth is a bit malty and a bit weaker than I would think. Kinda strange, but lovely.
