Fruity; dark fruits, raisins and citrus orange. Good hop bitterness. Bittersweet malty yeasty fruity throughout. Increasingly bitter into dry yeasty malty finish. ABV: 8.4%. Clear medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, tart. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, barley wine alike malty, sweet malt, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic - phenol.

Bottle from Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 2015 drank at home. Reddish-brown pour with a wispy white head. Orchard fruit, toffee, raisin, sweet spice and toffee apple aroma. Bottle from Archer Road beer stop, Sheffield. Deep maroon with a creamy head. Aroma is resiny and woody, with with some tropical fruit in the background. Tasye is syrupy bitter. Oily and smooth. Very good.

Bottle via Beer Gonzo webshop, Coventry, consumed at dad’s, Derbyshire, Friday 24th July 2015 in the company of Dad, Pauline, Scott, Mandy and kids. Brown, hazy. Mid beige, fruity, but crikey this is quite strong. It looks like a bitter but would have to be on steroids, really got some ooomph....spicy with a little orange and it is a little yeasty like it. Bottle shared at Ash’s. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of spicy yeast, soft fruit, candi sugar. Taste is more of the same. Quite thin on finish, but not bad.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark chestnut brown pour with a creamy light tan head, aroma is quite fruity with some sweet toffee, taste has sweet caramel, dark fruits, yeast, black currant jam, some peppery yeast, soft carbonation, ok.
