In short: smoked porter.

Did I enjoy it: yes.

Pours black with nice light tan head. Moderate head retention, little lacing. Smokey nose, roasty, coffee. Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is malt forward, roasty, smokey, licorice, overall sweet.

Lore (2919) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 9, 2017
Dark brown colour, minimal creamy beige head; aroma of intensive smoked notes (smoked ham, mainly ), some dark chocolate and maybe dried plum or burnt plum jam; tastes like the result of an aberrated test of soaking a smoked ham into a strong black coffe for at least a week and then covering the result of it with hot dark chocolate - sounds weird but the result is really great

Bov (13284) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - AUG 4, 2017
courtesy of Antonio Rey - black beer with a dark beige foam left; fairly smoke with notes of chocolate and brushwoods; peated; sweet malt backbone, full-bodied, some residual sweetness and a long smokey, chocolatey and a bit lactic finish

Cerveza hipergasificada, cuando consigues que repose la espuma el sabor a humo lo tapa todo

3.7
Alengrin (5779) - BELGIUM - JUN 27, 2017
Spanish smoked porter, tasted from tap at Craft & Draft. Thick and creamy, pale yellowish beige, lacing head over a very dark bronze beer, almost black, but with translucent, hazy copper-red tinge. Aroma of smoked bacon, unsugared chocolate, cured meat, burnt toast, dry tea, butterscotch, dried plums, blueberries, ashes, burnt wood. Dried fig and dito plums in the mouth, old raisins, only very lightly sweetish, more umami (dried beef), sourish roasted barley undertone, soft carbo, nutty, smooth, bit resiny maltiness, lots of black toasted bread, pleasantly dry, roasted coffee grounds-bitter and spicy hop bitter finish with the smokiness (smoked bacon again, some charcoal) rising up retronasally; very dry overall. Well-made, tasty and cleverly balanced epigone of Alaskan Smoked Porter.

ShivanDragon (4643) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2017

3.6
kingstoni (2153) - FINLAND - MAY 5, 2017
Bottle. Deep black color with a thin foamy beige head. Aroma of smoke and peat. Sweet and toasty taste. Medium to full body. Oily feel.
