The aroma on this hef is great. Exactly what a hef should be. Not to weak, not to strong. Compared to mass produced hef’s... there is no comparison. This has a ton of clove/banana flavor. not to much. but a lot. This is another very easy drinker that would be great on a summer day. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a hazy yellow color with a stark white head. The nose has bit of banana and heavy clove. The flavor follows suit with the esters from the yeast being the predominant flavor, although somewhat lighter than in the nose. Oily texture with a medium body. Fairly true to style for a classic German hefe.
