Draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, olives and a hoppy finish. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and a mild hop finish. Medium bodied with a slight lingering bitterness. Decent beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a muddy brown color with no head. The nose has heavy molasses notes. The flavor is a little sweet with notes of treacle, molasses, dark malt, brown sugar, flint, and earth. Definitely under carbonated, but still pretty tasty. Medium to full bodied. The person behind the bar seemed to think this keg didn’t get carbonated and that they would force carbonate it when they put it on tap.
