This beer was originally brewed for a famous Reggae festival that happens each year here in Humboldt County. A malty bitter American Amber style ale. This mahogany hued ale brings an intense spectrum of hop flavors from the spicy aromatic to lingering bitter, all underscored by a full- bodied caramel richness. Try this brew with a little Jamaican Jerked Chicken.

Bottle. Caramel nose, with gentle roast malt, earthy notes, citrus, and light breadiness. Medium reddish/brown color, small off-white head. Sweet initial flavor, with caramel, somehwat spicy and nutty. Very small whisky note, too. A touch phenolic in mid palate and final. Thin-medium body. Pleasant, and full of toasty malt flavors.

Quick3Beers (1358) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 30, 2015
Pours a dark slightly cloudy copper from a bottle, aroma of creme brulee, bitter herbs, flavor somewhat medicinal, like cherry cough syrup without the cherry. Bitterness lingers quite a long time, slightly off-putting. Okay beer.

tightslice (1397) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 28, 2015
Location: Bottle from World Market in Redwood City, CA
Appearance: Deep reddish-brown
Aroma: Sticky red bananas, caramel
Taste: Thick caramel up front with some booziness leading to bitter
Overall: Great caramel, sticky sugar aroma but seemed unbalanced / off in taste, especially feeling overwhelmed by the herbal-liquor / bitter finish

BlackHaddock (7562) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2015
12oz tap pour in The Goat Hill Tavern. Costa Mesa, Orange County on 11th May 2015. Red hue to the brown body, off white head that faded fast in the cooled plastic tankard it came in. Semi-sweet caramel maltiness in the nose and taste with a mild bitterness just below the surface. A bit too cold for my palate, but a decent enough beer all the same.

batneil (751) - - APR 4, 2015
Deep copper coloured, with a frothy head that clings to the glass. Smooth taste, not very strong flavour though.

Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - FEB 2, 2015
2 fen 2015, tap. Light Amber, clear, no bubbles. Nose is grassy hops and dry bread crust. Ned body and moderately fizzy. Acidic Amber malt and faint grassy hops. Some noticeable alcohol. Light bitter finish. Nice enough for an amber ale.

beertholomeus (1813) - California, USA - JAN 18, 2015
Pours a deep amber color with an off white head. Caramel, toffee, toast, malt, hop and floral aroma and flavors. Medium body and carbonation with a caramel and floral finish.
