Cloudy, light amber body with a small, white head. The aroma is citrus with lots of cotton candy sweetness. The flavor is quite sweet, cotton candy, honey with very light orange and tangerine. Medium body is round with medium carbonation. Blah. brianprentiss (705) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 23, 2008
not too impressed with this one. it really doesn’t taste like an ipa but an average amber ale Boliv (1150) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2012
Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with lots of floaties and a small tan head. Aromas of dull orangey citrus, caramel, and toffee; some hairspray, too. The flavor is bitter-ish orange rind and sweet buttery candy. Not great. Slipstream (2677) - USA - JUN 1, 2012
Sweet, floral, herbal aroma, and a rust-colored pour. I wasn’t sure why the label said Jamaica Brand as well as Mad River until I read the RB description. Are they trying to get a little too cute? Sunset tastes dry, acidic, and a little vegetal and metallic. Not bad, but not the best. jethrodium (366) - Berkeley, California, USA - OCT 31, 2012
On tap. Pours a golden amber with a small white head that has decent retention and leaves some light lacing on the glass. The aroma is caramel, light grapefruit, orange, and some light floral notes. The taste is sweet orange, sugar cookie, and some light grapefruit. Finish has a decent bitterness with a lingering orange sweetness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. A bit too sweet.

Good looking easily drinkable beer but just not enough aroma or flavour from the hops for me. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JUL 23, 2003
Slightly fizzy and farty, this beer went nowhere fast. Strong fruity aroma, and a hoppy bitterness, that just did not do anything for me, it was just not strong enough in all the areas that I expected it to be. Ungstrup (38243) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2003
An unclear orange beer with a dense head. The aroma is sweet malty with hop notes. The flavor is malty sweet - but without the expected hoppyness and bitterness. A rather boring IPA - for an IPA lover. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2004
Bottle. it was OK, pretty tinny and thin. Some American hops in here. Some lychee and citric hop bitterness, but not a lot. Below average. Bockyhorsey (2627) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2005
Had that good pine ipa aroma but this beer went downhill from there. Had a light copper body and the was virtualy no head, somewhat flat. Tasted like peachs from the tree that have been sitting on the kitchen counter for awhile. Felt like warm slush on palate..
