Formerly known as Steelhead Porter, Uniontown Porter is a unique twist on a tradional style. Balanced with dark roasted barley and crystal malts, with the perfect blend of peated malt for a subtle smokey flavor.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown, near black body with a medium, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetened coffee with dried dark fruits and anise. Roasty malts with subltle peat notes. Taste: Dark, roasted maltiness with some lesser toasted qualities and a crystal malt sweetness. Hint of dark fruitiness. Pleasant smoked maltiness with a distinct touch of peat. Mild hop character with the bulk of the relatively low bitterness coming through from the roasted barley. Roasty, sweet and sour finish. Palate: Medium-bodied. Low, easy-going carbonation. Overall: Scotch porters are not my favorite style, but this was very nice. Not overly sweet. Balanced and drinkable. The scotch ale qualities balance the porter nicely.

Bottle from Rakuten. A deep cola black with a tan head and a roasty oats, chocolate and hints of licorice aroma. The medium body delivers roasty chocolate, nuts and licorice. Somewhat aggressively carbonated but nice. 3.5-6 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 ml bottle. Sample. Jet black pour with a small tan head. Smokey peated malts and bitter chocolate in nose. The taste was roasted bitterness, smokiness, chocolate and a bit sulphuric. Fairy nice porter. Acceptable.

ANZUShophunter (657) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUN 3, 2017
From bottle at California Kitchen. Pours black with thin head, an intersting combination of scotch ale and a porter thanks to the peated malt. Almost a Cascadian lager.

MarcoBasile (467) - DENMARK - JUN 1, 2017
Aroma of creamy coffee or cappuccino and sweet roasted malts. It pours deep brown that looks pitch black in the glass. It has a moderate creamy beige head. Taste is rather mild with notes of mild rounded coffee bittersweet malts.

koshack (2021) - Gdañsk, POLAND - APR 13, 2017
Kolor czarny, nieprzejrzyste. Piana beżowa, drobna, obfita. Aromat przyjemny. Ciemne słody, lekka nuta owocowa, śliwkowa. Później nuty palone. W smaku wytrawny, owocowy, znów pojawia się śliwka. Jest czekolada, lekka kawa. bardziej w posmaku. Lekko kwaskowe. Całkiem fajne piwo.

Kleg (448) - The Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 24, 2017
Opaque dark brown pour with a small beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Dark fruit, liquorice and medicinal nose. Taste follows the nose. Lightly harsh mouthfeel. Disappointing. Looks like the foreigners like this.
