3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle from the Newton IA HyVee. Liquor department manager was kind of pleased to see someone come in just to pick up the local product. Having also had a great German pilsener at Millstream on the way home, I can try to better appreciate its pluses and minuses. Standard pale lager color with a tinge of gold, under a stiff white head. Smell has a bit of adjunct sense to it, which may have come from the honey, and it’s missing the spice bite of noble hops. Taste is a bit of okay. Honey sweetness overruns what should be a drier pils profile and it’s hops. And maybe I’m being kinder to it because I’m a homeboy, but I’ll admit these folks still need to step up their game. Still, a nice light finish makes for a decent summer beer.
Pretty much the same thing as everybody else has to say. It’s nothing too great, but I wouldn’t mind drinking one or two of these on a hot day. Honestly wouldn’t have tried this if it was not a local brew. RobertDale (6552) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUN 7, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Comes a slightly cloudy light gold with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grain, and fruit. Taste is malt, grain, honey, and a bit of fruit. Simple beer that is easy to drink. Ratman197 (14952) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 16, 2015
Bottle poured a clear yellow with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of bread and light honey. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, honey and a hint of fruitiness with a crisp dry finish. Atom (2482) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 9, 2015
On tap pours a clear golden with a small white head. Mellow honey and malt aroma. Taste starts with a smooth yeasty bread with honey into malt and a touch of hops on the finish. Refreshing especially sitting out in the sun in the botanical gardens of Des Moines. kaserk (55) - wdm, Iowa, USA - MAY 16, 2014
Drank this beer with Ken and Julie at HoQ. Very good and smooth. I would for sure drink this again.

bottled beer from box &e style. thank you for the cred boost! notes of wet hay, bit of sweet grain. touch of cooked brocolli. honey character seems to be somewhat subdued, which is fine. somewhat drinkable. buzzzzz! fidelis83 (2451) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - APR 20, 2014
Pale gold pour with some odd floaties and a thin white head. Cereal, honey and lightly tart aroma. Flavor is cereal, light fruity tartness, some honey, light spicy and floral hops. Light body with a heavy, explosive sharp carbonation that blows any feel on the texture away, some acidity and a dry, acidic finish. I thought it was alright overall, but there is definitely something off here, most likely some acid producing bacterial infection. drowland (8827) - Georgia, USA - JAN 4, 2014
12/24/13. 12oz bottle from the Milan Hy Vee. Upping my Iowa Cred while visiting the QC. Hazy dark golden pour with a small khaki head. Pale malts in the aroma, doughy, a bit of a corny aspect. Pale malt flavor, doughy pils malts, again a dash of corn. Not awful. rosenbergh (11578) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 10, 2013
12 fl oz bottle. From Iowa. Thanks John M!DiarmaidBHK (5078) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Clear golden colour with a small white head.
The aroma is mild. There’s some sweetness and malt.
The flavour is mild bitterness, sweetness and malt. Quite simple. But there’s nothing wrong. Just a bit boring.
Bottle from Johns grocery. Pours golden with a thin white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Slight honey note on the nose. Whatever honey that’s on the tongue is really faint. Finishes clean Eh!
