3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I have come to find that I really enjoy hopburst brewing technique, and this does not let me down. Tons of floral aroma and not a bitter finish!
12 ounce bottle. Hazy orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, pale malt. The taste is resin, pine, dry grapefruit, pale malt. The taste is lime, grapefruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness. Solid. rosenbergh (11599) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2016
12 oz bottle. (John’s Grocery) Iowa City, IA.Jow (3951) - New York, USA - FEB 1, 2016
Clear bright orangey golden color with a small white head.
Fruity and sweet hops, honey sweetness, mild bitterness and sweet malt in the aroma. The flavor is sweet hops, sweet honey, sweet sugar, mild bitterness and sweet malt. Too sweet.
Little Iowa craft beer stand in hotel lobby couldn’t resist. Nose is tropical fruits and candy. Tastes way sweet of lemongrass, rock candy, malt, caramel. Touch to sweet for my tastes MetalNHopHead (2014) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - DEC 21, 2015
Nothing cures my wintertime blues like a glassful of hops. Thanks to the bargain cart at my nearby bottle shop, Hopburst is one of those deals that was too good to pass up and one of those beers I’d probably never seek out under normal circumstances. I’m glad I got to try it. Any excuse is a good excuse to have a new IPA. Typical heady appearance with hazy dark orange body. Lemongrass, dank hops, and overripe melon aromas. Flavor has zesty grapefruit, chewy grass, earthy flower, garlicky spiciness, and caramelly malt. (Have I worn out the -y adjective + noun formula yet?) Balance is well-done without being anything that really stands out. Overall, a very solid IPA. deyholla (11721) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 13, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber gold with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has musty pine hops with a bit of bitter citrus and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has bread and sweet grain with a good amount of bitter citrus.

Bottle courtesy of HuskerTan, thank you! Hazy golden amber color, bright white head. Aroma of fresh haystacks and light citrus. Taste has earthy lemongrass, scallions. Nice. DuchessOfIowa (161) - Iowa, USA - JUL 11, 2015
poured from bomber. Straw gold to amber color. Medium white head with some descent lacing. Doughy and bread flavor dominate with a trace amount of caramel. A good amount of hop aroma that has some orange and citrus mixed with some earthy pine flavors. Medium dryness that lingers. Capa (3322) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - APR 12, 2015
Slightly hazy intense orange with an off-white head. Aroma is full of candied tropical citrus fruit. Medium bodied. Flavor is tropical fruit, sweet, caramel malts. Lightly soapy. Finish is caramel sweet with medium bitterness. The aroma is my favorite part of this and the flavor lets it down a bit. Still, a nice IPA. Bule (2188) - California, USA - JAN 22, 2015
12oz bottle pours a yellow amber color with a bit of head. Citrusy and a little alcohol harshness.

Pours an orangeish-yellow that’s just a bit murky, with smallish head. Hop and fruit aromas. Flavor is hoppy and malty, with some metallic underpinnings, and a touch of homebrew flavor (you know how homebrews all taste the same?). I think this one has potential, but a few of the rough edges have to be worked out first.
