12 oz can at the Dublin Irish Festival.
This is no ordinary brown ale. Bold and rich with a well hidden ABV. This applies to both the aroma and the flavor.
This malt bomb also has a relatively full and nicely smooth feel.

Canned 6/10/2015 enjoyed 7/21/2015 in a pint glass.
Look - Light brown almost red body. Lighter tan very very fine bubbled head. Spotty lacing, no rings. It almost looks nitro.
Smell - Sweet, roasted malt. Faint citrus. Faint hops. Earth. Caramel.
Taste - I always say a a hoppy porter or stout is 1/4 IPA. Well, this is 1/5. Light hops. Caramel. Malt. Chocolate. Light coffee.
Feel - So creamy. Not too heavy. No alcohol or bitterness on tongue.
Overall - Up until this point I have gone for the rare MadTree beers. I’ve had the barrel aged version but not the regular version. I am trying not to be biased but this a really good beer.

Can. This is a nice deep brown ale that veers towards the full roasted flavours you see in darker brews. blipp (9278) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 27, 2015
Can. Pours brown with a beige head. Mild roasted and nutty malts, some sweetness, some bready notes, low bitterness, and a rich malty finish. Pretty good. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 11, 2015
Can shared poured poured semi clear brown cola color with nice off white head. Medium sweet nutty malt aroma. Mild hints of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is more of the same. Nicely balanced real nice nutty flavor.

12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Clear light brown, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is earthy, herbal hops, and bitter hop finish. Not for me. outlawskies (480) - Ohio, USA - JUN 6, 2015
Julie thinks it is a little to hoppy for her taste. Overall I think it is a nice mellow brow Shot (533) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - MAY 17, 2015
Can. Pours like a cola with a massive, pillowy beige head. Exceptional cling. Aromas are caramel, chocolate and dark fruit. Flavors are cocoa and caramel, toffee, sweet dark fruit. Licorice and dark chocolate in the finish. Noticeable alcohol warmth. Creamy, but lively, mouthfeel. Fairly dry finish. Very nice brown ale! On tap. brown, sorty of murky with a light brown head. Very big toast and roasty aroma with almonds and a hint of chocolate. Dry brew with that toasty bitterness coming through and big body. very good. Capa (3299) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - MAR 18, 2015
Dark brown pour with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate malt, nutty, light roasted malt. Flavor is that and a light hoppy bite on the finish. Really enjoyable malty brown with a light hop background. Good.
