Draft at tap room. Poured clear dark amber hue with medium frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Medium aroma of sour citrus hops and sweet malt. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced flavor of malt, citrus hops with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.
more hoppy then I generally like. a very well-balanced and drinkable in spite of the bitterness

Sample at Studio 35 for the beer tasting and a movie feature of Blazing Saddles (and The Possum Posse) on 8/6/17. Clear red to copper pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, slight hop and caramel. Malty and caramelly flavor with a crisp hop finish. bnokk (537) - Lee, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 8, 2017
true to name...amber. Good head from the can to a glass.
really hoppy for an amber, but that’s mad tree for ya.
FLAVOR- good light malt flavors. Less hoppy than the nose would indicate. It’s actually on point.
NOTES- a professed non-believer in mad tree’s elixir, I’m pleasently surprised with this beer. AWISLguy (3242) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 19, 2017
12oz can with a 5/26/2016 date. Think I got this from ck1 -- thanks bro! Copper amber pour with an off-orange head leaving some lacing. Aroma has sweet malts, some pine, and some tangy spice. Taste is of sweet malts, tangy pine and some spice. There seems to be some separation, which is not to the positive. Medium bodied with some alcohol. The blend is ok, no better, and the carbonation is constant. Finishes sweetly and short. Shrug? Decent for style, not something to have again. 13.2 andrewje41 (4094) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - JAN 11, 2017
12 oz can poured, with much thanks to Chris for the can. Sent straight from Cincinnati. Who Dey! Next time I fly out for a game, I might have to sit down at MadTree and have a few other beers of theirs. Golden amber color pour with a lasting foam head. Malt centered aroma, but mild. Flavor is a ton of biscuit and cracker like malt. Saltines, but with no salt. Maybe just a tiny bit. A toasty finish. Overall, a nice malt bill. Quite refreshing for such a malt centered ale here. Late hops add a subtle bitterness to pair, but the cracker malt is all that remains in the late palate. A tasty amber here. Easy to drink. Good beer.

12 oz can in Dublin Ohio.
Pours with a copper colored body and a good head.
Hoppy aroma for style. This partially carries over to the taste, especially in the mildly bitter aftertaste.
O: a hopped up Amber beer that leans strongly towards a pale ale.
