Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Hazy golden appearance with a nice foamy white head. Light orange fruity, grainy/straw, yeasty aroma. Somewhat fruity, chewy yeasty, rich bready, refreshing flavor. Good stuff!

It’s warm golden with a white, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of grain, malt, grass and flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes as the aroma with citrus in the slightly dry and bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2014 My Bottom Line :
This mineral Helles possesses lazy pils malt sugars atop surprisingly firm wooden hop bitterness in a svelte yet expansive mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the clear golden.
-That hop bitterness, also yielding peppery notes, is quite pleasant. However, it is not expected due to the subtle hop presence in the aroma and flavor profile and therefore feels unbalanced.
-The malts could be crisper or offer more flavor.
-Pea-like DMS seems to be appearing on the aroma horizon.

Bottle and on tap at the brewery gasthof.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Fruity, citrusy nose with some malty notes. Sweet and fruity flavor, yet quite dry. Pale malts, grassy and peppery notes and a nice bitterness in the flavor. Medium body, quite dry, nicely carboanted. Bitterness in the finish, but I’d like more of it. A quite decent one, nothing special though. 110708
