UPDATED: OCT 1, 2004 This is the worst beer i’ve ever had. Forget the mich ultra this is worse...the fruity apricot taste is so overwhelming i cant tell if i’m drinking beer or not. I drank about 3/4 of it and dumped it out, which is sad because I wont even dump out a beat light. I’ll be a happy man if i never have to drink this again. The only redeeming qualities i could find were the witty things written under the cap, and that it felt pretty good in my mouth. This is the definition of apricot flavor in beer, for those who wonder. Peachy color, clear, but the head doesn’t impress. Light and drinkable but on the bland side. Delicate hops. caesar (7398) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUL 16, 2004
Slightly hazy golden orange color, small head. Aroma is sharp of apricot, some yeast and hops. Taste is bit sweet, but mostly bitter and also quite yeasty. Palate is not sticky, but more bitter. jerohen (2379) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - JUL 16, 2004
Cloudy dark yellow coloured, small head. Strong apricot aroma, not something i really like. Luckily the apricot is not that overwhelming in flavour. Bitter, watery brew. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 15, 2004
i´m not convinced about the merits of apricot in beer. this had a pretty distinct apricot aroma though not overly sweet, more like dried apricots. fortunately enough bitterness to stop it from being too sticky

My favorite summer-time beer to drink when I vist my family in New England. I just wish it was easier to find in the midwest! Number 9 is a light to medium bodied beer with strong fruit flavors, especially prune or apricot. Overall, it’s a nice and refreshing summer drink that won’t bog you down. Highly recommended. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2007 Drank one of these at the Bonnaroo music festival 04’. Very refreshing and tasty in the summer hear. Amazing fruit essence and an overall good product. AcctError13610 (124) - Montgomery, New York, USA - JUL 10, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2004 Got this on tap in NYC and enjoyed it, hoppy and didnt think it was a fruit beer. tastes of mango, oragne and plum.a little too sweet for me to drink a bunch. Enjoyable. PWalk (338) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2004
I like fruit beers, but I don’t like apricot.
The beer poured a cloudy gold producing a pale head that quickly dissolved. Mildly hoppy with flavor that hangs around after your done with it. Not bad, but not great. spkldhenlvr24 (517) - Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 6, 2004
I really didn’t think this was a fruit beer when I drank it on tap. Light amber color with a decent white head. Actually more hops in this than I expected. Weird. Flavor was slightly fruity, very good though. Nice finish.
