Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

I really didn’t think this was a fruit beer when I drank it on tap. Light amber color with a decent white head. Actually more hops in this than I expected. Weird. Flavor was slightly fruity, very good though. Nice finish.

this is really refreshing, especiallyat an abnormaly hot campground waiting around all day for Phish to play, and the phans sure do love this one, I think its probably b/c of that tripped out label, but it may also be because of the beer, citrus is the theme of this brew, and thats not a lie because its true.

I think they call this their IPA. Very bland and average. It’s like the lite beer of craft beers. I’m glad I didn’t pay for it, the magic hat rep did.

If only this beer tasted as well as it smelled. Thge aroma is very fruity making one think they will enjoy a nice american fruit beer. Sadly it just tastes like a "not-quite pale ale." It is like a retarded pale ale, one that has all the characterisitics without actually reaching them.

Bottle. Golden with thin white head. Aroma strong of apricots. Flavor is very fruity, light, with a little hop. I’ll drink it on a hot day.

Umm... I liked this beer in high school -- that should tell the whole story. Interesting beer to show someone who doesn’t think you can add apricot to a beer. Just don’t have them expect it to taste that good. No hops to speak of, relatively light (drinkable), reminded me of a beer-spritzer.

Color is murky gold, nose is very strong, flavor is distinctive, fruity essence with a distinct flavor, finish is much more subtle than taste for a nice well rounded beer.

Golden yellow in colour. Aroma of apricots, mild hops and slightly sweet. Flavour was of apricots, hops, very sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes very sweet and dry. Not bad but I can appreciate Dogfish Head ApriHop a lot better.

White head, clear pleasant slightly hoppy nose. Nice soft fruity aroma, matches well medium bodied, well rounded ale Very drinkable. Nice apricot finish.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2013 2013-04-29. No notes. much fruitier when fresh. 7/3/6+/3/13-14 Sampled at the brewery

March 2007. Draft @ Coles in Buffalo. Golden yellow with a small white head. Fruity apricot aroma (6+) with similar fruit character in the flavour. Light wheaty tartness to the malt base. Average palate is slightly more full but not quite medium. Pleasant but does not make me reach for another. 6+/3/6+/13 - 3.2

June 2004. Mondial. Bottle. Yellow amber body with a white head. Slighty fruity apricot in the aroma. Pleasant, fairly light and restrained apricot flavour. Quite pleasant and easy to drink. Very well balanced, and not at all cloying. Mondiale 3T (Radek). 6/3/7/3/15 - 3.4
