UPDATED: DEC 11, 2008 [bottle] Amber color with a very thin head. Aroma of fruit, mainly apricots. Very interesting taste... fruity and crisp with nice malty blend and finish. shadey (2135) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 17, 2004
Good beer for just every day drinking. Light color, great flavor. A different and very enjoyable beer. JFGrind (2047) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2004
Appearance was cider-like, amber body and thin off-white head. Aroma had more than an essence of apricot. This was a great, refreshing beer. Apricot flavor did not taste processed, it's natural flavor blended well with the malt for a perfect level of sweetness. Magic Hat has brewed a solid beer with #9. scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 9, 2004
Have been partial to this beer for many years. Hazy orange and gold, creamy white head. Lots of apricot, earth and malt in the nose. Similar in taste, but you actually can feel the bittering hops battle the fruit to the end. Medium bodied with a dryish finish. Easy drinking on a warm summer day. I'll never kick #9 aside. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2004
On tap - Waterfront Manhattan. A subtle fruity aroma. Mid brown colour with not much head. Fruity hoppy flavour but needing balance and served too cold. I didn't know this was a fruit beer at the time of drinking and am suprised to see its description. What fruit is it???

Mysterious indeed. Has a unique fruity part too it, unlike most any other. Very refreshing, not too heavy at all. The aroma is stupendous, giving off a very sweet scent. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - APR 1, 2004
Orange gold color, Large sized, white foamy head. Aroma is orange and sweet. A medium bodied Pale Ale/fruit beer. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are spicy and slightly bitter. Brewed with coriander, orange and ??? Whatever is there is very different, the apricot flavor is there, but there is something else as well. Nicely balanced. Interesting beer. Perhaps a little sweet? Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 31, 2004
Apricot indeed. The fruit flavor comes out about 10 seconds into the experience. Nice color, responds well to the light of most any bar. If you like the taste, seems to be an easy brew for repeat rounds. However, the flavors are a bit mixed as you go down the pint -- a brew with an identity crisis, it seems. sfontain (851) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 28, 2004
UPDATED: APR 22, 2004 My cap: "Don't Throw Stones at Others' Bones." Cloudy golden/orange color with a white thin that quickly becomes nonexistant. Strong, fruity aroma of apricot (and peach?). Clean feel with decent carbonation. Beyond that, this is kind of disappointing... Apricot taste goes away quickly and leaves a mild pee aftertaste with very little hops. I like this stuff with nacho cheese Doritos; I am sure I'm in the minority on that one. :) I would rather take some fruit juices and add some vodka than pay for this regularly. Cloudy golden amber with an average white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with the apricot really coming to the forefront. Light hops underneath have a rather marginal presence in the aroma. Average body with decent carbonation and a pretty good mouthfeel. The flavor has a nice balance of sweet fruit and bitter hops. Not the most outstanding beer ever, but not too bad either. Drinkable.
