Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. This one is going to be a flaming turd. The pour is a darker gold with a thin white colored head and a small collar. There is a bit of lace left on the glass. The aroma is garbage. There is a strong wheatiness to it that just isn’t good. There is no discernible hop, and there is a huge lack of fruit. For what this one is promising it’s just turning out to be a wheat turd. The flavor is equally bad. There is a little bit of raspberry in it, but it’s just garbage. It’s sweet and medicinal, and there is no apricot at all. The mouth feel is thin and slick with a lack of carbonation and a medicinal aftertaste. This is just a piece of junk. Damnit.

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is old, fruit punch syrup, raspberry, malt, not good. Appearance is light golden with a touch of red, off white head, clear. Taste is...wheat. Medicinal raspberry, metallic, not much else. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, almost no carbonation, metallic aftertaste. Overall, damn 1001 Beers list. This one sucks.

Pours clear yellow with a white head. Aroma of apricot, citrus and toast. Taste follows nose.

Canned. Kind of blah. Flat and uninteresting mouthful. A bit wheaty taste at the end. Eh it's okay.

Pours a golden color, with white head. Aroma of grapefruit and malts. Very nice and unique taste, notes of fruit, almost like juicy fruit. Smooth and drinkable. Thumbs up!

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2017 Yes, it is not not quite pale but still drinkable. Roasty malts, holiday baking dough, pineapple, and ends with a nice floral tone. Overall good, but too ’dark’.

Boy I haven’t had this in years. Just going by taste drinking from the bottle. I’m not really getting to much flavor. I feel like this used to be really good.

Bottle @ Bone Fish Grill. Pours a caramel orange with a thin white ring. Aroma of sweet fruit. Crisp and refreshing similar to a Pilsner but with a sweet fruity flavor. They say apricot but it seems more like berries. Medium carbonation. Very enjoyable. No harshness or bitterness. Nice clean taste.

Bottle. Pours golden, clear, frothy head. Aroma of berries, flowers, some pineapple, malts. Taste of berries, honey, bread, some yeast.

Aroma has some barnyard, basement aromas and earth in it. Taste has some weird aroma that I cannot identify. Thin feel, average carbonation. Drinkable but not my favorite.
