Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Booooooooooooring.....good beer on draft when there is nothing better available, but not something I would seek out in the store. Smell/taste is peach/strawberry/apricot. Bland stuff.

Great infusion of apricot; crisp, light, slight tartness balanced by flavorful taste of grains.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2005 Fruity smell and taste. Very pleasant. Great for chillin on a warm summer day

Pours a very pleasant amber. Spotty head, never quite one fine layer. Smells of orange, hops and caramel. Has a wheat, malty flavor with a speck of hops. Very unique. Almost caramel. Easy to drink a number of. Wouldn’t consider it a top spot.

Pours amber with light head. Aroma is sharp when first poured but fades. Taste is fruity at the start with a bitterness at the end.

Aroma is mute of fruit and light of bread. Appearance is typical. Taste is hard to capture. Best explanation is a American Pale ale that has had its hops replaced with fruit and aromatics. The taste of pale fruit & aromatics is the theme here. This brew leaves scents of rose that lingers long on the tongue. Its an interesting experience not sure if I like it or not. Its not my favorite beer by any means but its not bad.

Pours copper in colour with a moderate head. Very strange floral taste with an apricot aftertaste. I’d say its a fruit beer with IPA tones. Not a fan but it’s complex taste may well make this someone’s favourite.

Drank straight from 12 oz bottle. Unique fruity aroma. Taste was apricot with subtle citrus notes in the background. Medium carbonation. The palate wasn't bad but faded pretty quickly. Pretty good unique beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light, just the right carbonation and great taste. The aftertaste leaves something to be desired, though.

Very unique beer. Very stong fruity aroma (not sure I’d have pinpointed apricot if I wasn’t aware it was in there). Taste is sweet, with equal parts of fruit and hops. Aftertaste has a slight hoppy flavor, but is dominated by the fruit flavor. Not usually a fan of fruit beers but this one is unique and different. MUCH better draft than bottle.
