Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2011 Ordered on tab at Buffalo Wild Wings. It came to me in a larger pilsner than I expected but hey, when is that ever a problem? The beer was a hazy orange color and had a nice sized white head. Aroma was citrus and hops. Taste was that of a lager and the aftertaste was very yeasty. Not an awesome beer but definitely worth giving a shot if you haven’t already.

The fruity aroma and taste was appreciated with the first gulp, but after 3 or for gulps it just got old and overdone. They need to tone this down some. There were some good hops hiding back there, but they couldn't get out from under all that fruit.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2004 Good thirst quencher. Slightly thin body. Overly strong apricot nose and flavor. Best in HOT weather with BBQ Chicken.

Strong apricot aroma, definately noticable on all levels. Great orange colour you'd expect from a nice pale ale. Good peach and apricot tones, but not enough beer tones. Some malt detected, but no hops...not a great beer.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2004 The first time I had this beer I thought it was great! I was like wow! It seemed to be bursting with so many flavors. The second time I drank it I thought of hair spray.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2003 Sweet, slightly tangy peach flavor dominates and the light-medium body is consistent with the fruit flavor. Occasionally, might enjoy one in the sun, for a change of pace. Not a beer that I like to drink in quantity.

decent brew, amber color, fizzy head. fruit aroma evident in the carbonation. the apricot and hjop flavors emerge as the beer warms., otherwise just a bland pale.

Cloudy dark yellow coloured, small head. Strong apricot aroma, not something i really like. Luckily the apricot is not that overwhelming in flavour. Bitter, watery brew.

Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized head. Light Fruity (apricot) and yeasty aroma and taste. This one really didn’t do anything for me.
