A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Sampled at Real Beer Expo (Rochester). Med. golden colour, no head. Caramel, toffee and apricot on the nose. Fairly carbonated and med. bodied. Definite apricot finish. Fairly balanced.

Palate might be skewed cause of the head and humidity, but this is a tasty beer at Hollywood studios at Disney

Fisler (544) - Bamberg, GERMANY - JUN 9, 2017
Gold, gefiltert, schöne Perligkeit, ordentlicher Schaum. In der Nase ungewöhnlich würzig, keine Ahnung was genau ich da rieche. Im Trunk limonadig, Erdbeeren, mittig Malz, fruchtig, hinten bitter. Nicht schlecht - sehr unkonventionell.

jbethea (46) - Summerfield, Florida, USA - JUN 6, 2017
pours clear light golden amber. the flavor is light and earthy. Its really hard to place any one flavor here. There is lingering wheat aftertaste, almost grainy. Its pretty well balanced without being malty at all. The sweetness comes from something else. since its such a big secret and I don’t believe in secret recipes- I’m going to call it flavorful piss water

Bottle from somewhere into a pint. Didn’t really do a lot for me. Aroma has some apricot, which was hard to detect.

Nice body and you like the apricot flavor or not, not too strong so you can enjoy more than one . A good, consistent but at $1.25 bottle

Very different PA. I love this brew on occasion, but could not drink it more than a few times a month. It has a hint of fruity taste / smell. Difficult to explain, holds a head and nice golden / amber color. I would suggest trying this one out if you get the chance.

Like they say themselves, not quite an IPA. Pretty refreshing; starts dark and ends on a lighter note. Notes of Blackberry, birch, burnt fennel and brown sugar. Finished with a nasal combination of citrus, malt and apricot

Draft at Yard House Orlando. Poured hazy gold with white head. Light fruit orange malt wheat caramel.

MrHangover (4552) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - APR 27, 2017
Can, brought back from Florida. Pours a hazy golden beer with a big white head on top. Aroma is a bit weird, some red fruits, bready malts and yeast and a very mild touch of citrus in the back. Flavor is about the same, medium fruity sweet, dry citrussy middle and malty finish. Sparkling and crisp mouthfeel due to fairly high carbonation. Aftertaste is mild bittersweet. Meh, ok.
