Pours a dark amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, mostly of caramel malts. Just a hint of floral hops. Flavor is mostly just sweet from the caramel malts. Nor much hop flavor at all. Not good. SlimHabib (463) - Redondo Beach, California, USA - JUN 9, 2015
Bottle pour. Cloudy dark amber orange with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted cereal and roasted malts. Medium body. Initial bitter taste with a slight sweet aftertaste. MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2015
12 oz bottle from the four type sampler case. Weak on hops and flavor, somewhat mediocre. I think I was disappointed. Dacrza (980) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - JUN 4, 2015
DATE TASTED: June 4, 2015... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint... OCCASION: Cavs/Warriors Game One--let the madness begin!... APPEARANCE: dark, orange amber body that shows slow , sporadic effervescence; soft, creamy white head settles to a thin, palpable lacing... AROMA: robust Cascade meets the nostrils; caramel and toasted cereal stand up and belie the IPA indication....PALATE: medium-bodied, creamy, and slightly fizzy; bitterness late but not offensive nor impressive... TASTE: mellow, slightly hoppy, significantly malty--deep caramel and cereal punches an impression in the tastebuds with pleasant sweetness; the odd finish--a Magic Hat staple--is found in the hops attempting to climb into the wisdom teeth; a smooth balance is struck... OVERALL: a mildly entertaining, slightly less offbeat take on a standard than I am used to from Magic Hat; the malt is a welcome push on the flavor; the Cascade is diminished to the point one wonders, "Is this an IPA?" damzz (501) - Massachusetts, USA - JUN 2, 2015
Pours a clear amber with a white head. Nose is faint caramel malt. Body is medium. Taste is very light IPA. Hops are there but lack the bite of fuller IPAs. This similar to their #9 Not Quite Pale Ale. This Not Quite IPA but a nice drink. 12 oz bottle in the Summer variety pack

This beer did not scream IPA to me, more akin to a wheat beer imo. Nice amber with light head. Tastes of wheat, heavy malt, light citrus, slight bitterness. Not for me. 60minuteman (1716) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2015
Not a bad IPA. Also not a risk-taking IPA. Caramel malt, earthy hop, some citrus, pine. Basic but enjoyable. puboflyons (3433) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 29, 2015
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is amber yellow with a lingering and foamy white head. My nose picks up perfume in the aroma more than the roasted pale malts. The perfume is floral like. Medium body. This has a unique bitterly hopped taste to it that has a minor toasted character to start but the hops linger at the end. Stampion (274) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 25, 2015
A fine ale. I'm not sure if it's an IPA or not, since the hop meter has moved over the years. Orange and citrus with some malt and bitterness at the finish. Ok, but not my favorite.

Was one of my favorite ipas back in the day guess my palate changed over the last 5 years. Smell is very orangey with slight notice of pine near the end. Good body nice orangey citrus flavor with weak bit at the finish. Diffently wish it had the old lable on the bottle.
