...created to aid in deciphering the puzzles along life’s road, and interpreting signs in the voyages of the spirit. Brewed in homage to the wisdom of visionaries everywhere who blaze paths into uncharted territories. Our take on an India Pale Ale (IPA.) A deep golden amber ale with a rich up-front malty nose finishing with a big, hoppy bite. Dry-hopped to finish with a big fresh (Cascade) hop flavor. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting yeast.

Not so much of a citrus smell, as a lot of IPAs have, but kind of a malty sweet aroma. Intial taste wasn't much, but aftertaste was a curious balance of cirtus (grapefruit and orange) and the hops. Not in your face, but a twist on the normal conception of IPAs that works.

Big hop nose, you know right away that it's gonna be a typical American IPA. Hoppy taste but not so much that overwhelms the malt. Very drinkable. Think I'll have another one......

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2012 Re-rate 6/2012. Poured from bottle. Aroma of grapefruit hops and pie crust. Cloudy amber, light tan head. Pine, floral hops dominate with sweet malt, pepper, basil and veggie. Hearty feel. Well done.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2011 Re-Rate 3/29/11: 12oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, Earthy hops, grass, and malt. Poured amber in color with a large, creamy, dense, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, light resin, light pine, slight Earth, and a hint of caramel. Light to medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, light resin, light caramel finish is dry. 7/4/6/3/14 = 3.8 4/13/02: 7/3/8/4/16 = 3.8

A great IPA. Another great beer from the people at magic hat. Flavorful and hoppy, a great brew.

Cool label; interesting name (describes the religion of some people I know). Bright head, lovely copper color, fairly clear. Very inviting nose. Nice aroma: piney & grassy. Earthy malt backbone seems a little on the 'unfresh' side (my bottle was not old though). Although, it did have some decent vanilla and cookie flavors. Like many other Magic Hats, it seems a little on the thin side. Also seemed 'wet' and not very rich. But at least the hops provided a nice bitterness... and some olfactory sensations. It seemed to get a little better further down the glass.

I thought I didn't like IPA's, but this one's pretty decent. It has a very interesting flavor, which grew on me with each successive sip. A well rounded beer.

nice floral aroma, deep golden amber, just as it says, but a bit cloudy The flavor is smooth and hoppy, with a sharp dry hoppy finish. A very tasty brew, interesting flavor combinations, that I would love to try again.

Off tha mark for a serious lack in floral hoppiness and overall bitterness. Needs a serious dose of BALLS! A very mild IPA.

NICE CARMEL COLOR WITH HINTS OF VANILLA IN THE TASTE AND SMELL, THIS IPA IS VERY HOPPY AND QUITE GOOD, IF YOU LIKE ALOT OF HOPS. GOOD ON A SNOWY NIGHT!
