...created to aid in deciphering the puzzles along life’s road, and interpreting signs in the voyages of the spirit. Brewed in homage to the wisdom of visionaries everywhere who blaze paths into uncharted territories. Our take on an India Pale Ale (IPA.) A deep golden amber ale with a rich up-front malty nose finishing with a big, hoppy bite. Dry-hopped to finish with a big fresh (Cascade) hop flavor. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting yeast.

Delbomber (387) - Philadelphia, USA - DEC 30, 2001
Cloudy, apple-juice appearance, thin white head, with a roasted grain, black pepper, mild hops, and citrus nose. Flavor is a bit stale, bland, and yeasty, reminiscent of wet hay, orange rind, hops, and grain, oats perhaps. Finishes weak and quick, leaving a dry mild nuttiness. A very mild IPA.

They dry hopped this so much it smells like hop pellets. The taste is very big in hops and this beer just doesn't seem balanced enough in the malt department.

Tasty IPA, not as hopped out as others. Smooth and delicious...............

Nicely balanced english-style IPA. Nice aroma and mellow mouthfeel with a definite Ringwood fruitiness and English hop bite. Love this brew.

Its just amazing how much variety there is within the IPA style. There are your insanely bitter, crips IPAs (Speakeasy Big Daddy), your full-bodied, big-flavored IPAs (Lagunitas, Celebration Ale, Hop Devil) and then this kind of IPA: mellow, perfectly balanced, and sweet. Orange-flavored malt dominate this brew to start, but by the finish all you can think about is the extremely bitter hop finish. You can also tell this beer is dry-hoppedfrom the spectacular aroma. I would call this more of a buffed-up ESB than an IPA, personally. Truly fantastic, folks.

A very well done IPA, looked good in the glass, excellent aroma, and well balanced with solid malt and hop flavors.

One of Magic Hat's best brews year-round brews (Bob's First Ale being the other). Malt nose with nice hop accents in the finish.
