A hazy orange beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet grassy with light spicy notes - I find the aroma a bit sharp. The flavor is malty with notes of oranges lingering in the background, on which is dry spicy notes and light hoppy notes. In the beginning I find the hops mostly English in impression (Nothern Brewer?), but towards the end it get citrusy and Cascade-like. And the body is a bit thin. cgarvieuk (25987) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 8, 2011

UPDATED: APR 28, 2006 Amber-beige colour. Light woody hop notes in the aroma with a whole grain bread background. Moderate bitterness. Quite woody. Slightly watery texture. Ok, but that’s it. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 12, 2010
Very nice amber pour in glass. Nose and taste is floral citrus, spruce and light spices. Rated 6/27/02 brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Pours amber in color with an off-white head. For an IPA, I notice a distinct lack of hops on the aroma. Pretty much all toffee, bread, and toasted malt. Just the slightest hint of floral and citrus peel notes. The flavor is just as lackluster. Light floral notes, no bitterness, and mostly just bland bread. A light sweetness of toffee and caramel. That’s really about it. bhensonb (15753) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear amber/copper with an off-white head. Aromas f fruit and roast malt. Med body or better. Flavor is caramel with a lot of earthy hop. Maybe some citrus and floral. The cascade citrus doesn’t seem prominent. It’s very balanced, quite tasty. Hop burn is slight. NW no. Good ale, yes.
