Is he a who? Or a what? Or perhaps some of both? Be amazed by the flavorful haze of this wonderful wheat beer.

Editor’s note: Yes, the bottle calls it a hefeweizen. The beer, however, is brewed with a (fairly hefty) portion of lemongrass, which contributes a significant aroma and flavor. Thus we have deemed it a Spice/herb/vegetable and not a German Hefeweizen, which should be free from adjuncts (other than hops).

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a hazy golden color. It’s actually pretty damn clear until the yeast is poured in - and even after, it’s still not that cloudy. The head isn’t anything to write home about, either. It isn’t even a finger high, has an off-white color, and very poor retention. S: Smells like a generic wheat ale. The ester notes are very muted...and even worse, seem off somehow. Wheat malt is the most prevalent note I pick up, along with a twinge of candied sugar. T: There’s lots of wheat to start, along with a slight spiciness. And then after that...nothing. The finish is empty in flavor. I guess it isn’t bad, but that’s only because it’s so devoid of character. M: Well, if I have to pick something I like about this one, then I’ll say I enjoy how soft it feels. It’s a pretty sweet brew, as well, lacking the vibrant carbonation of some examples. O: BOOO-RING. The simple fact that it’s just really dull instantly makes it better than the abomination that was Seance, at least. In a way, I hate these boring beers simply because they create dull reviews...just like this one.

Wheat, lemon, spice, zest, peel. Resin and malt with lots of spice. It has a miller vibe to it...

Smells like a hefeweizen, taste is smooth and light lemon zest...light bitterness...finishes lightly sweet...some complexity but mostly lemongrass flavor...fourth of July 2017 at home with Megan

Pretty standard hefe. Lots of lemon taste in an otherwise thin hefe style beer. Just fine.

Poured from a bottle. Frothy white head. Pale yellow in color. Taste is what I would expect from a hefe. Not amazing but pretty damn good. Would purchase it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Golden in color with an average sized creamy white head. Faint aroma of citrus and spices. Mostly sweet with some banana notes. Light bodied. Not bad.

Bottle. It pours a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is sweet and lemony with strong lemongrass notes. The flavor has some decent wheat malt and more intense lemongrass. Pretty sweet and simple. Only light hints of hefeweizen yeast. Kinda boring but refreshing by the poolside.

Poured pale gold with a bubbly head that quickly disappeared. Faint orange aroma. Taste is oranges and orange zest. Didn’t have the crisp-wheaty-citrusness that I expected from the style. Decent, but there are better hefes out there.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2016 I poured it from the bottle into a glass. The aroma is banana, spice, and wheat. The taste is banana, spice, and wheat. While cold, it’s fairly crisp and refreshing. There is nice carbonation. It?s not a great interpretation of the style though.
