Bought a six pack from my favorite Joe Canals in West Deptford, NJ. This beer caught me by suprise. I was expecting such a distinct flavor. Pours with a nice tan head, rich chocolate body. It has more of a stout flavor, dont really taste the hops you get from a I.P.A. Good choice, if you are looking for a stout (generic), I enjoyed it of should I say enjoying it.

This tastes like a really bitter porter. Its dark brown in color w/ a creamy white head. I get roasted notes up front which wane to a bit of citrus. Even though this is a bit sweet and would maybe seem a touch syrupy, the bitterness is kind of overpowering and makes this seem sort of thin and insubstantial. There is touch of an ashy note going on as well. This is drinkable overall but I cant see myself seeking it out again.

Well, it looks nice. Not much of an aroma. Malty with a slight bit of caramel sweetness. Im not getting much in the way of hops other than slight bitterness on the finish. Reminds me somewhat of a porter. OK but not a favorite.
