Clear brilliant copper like a brand new penny, under a wee foamy white head. Pleasantly grassy and leafy bitter aroma with a smooth biscuity undertone. Medium-full bodied with a nice doughy malty backbone, with a big hop profile of bitter grassy and resiny hops. Full yet balanced with a bright and bitter hop smack. 12oz bottle from Crossroads. Pours a clear amber color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of grain, sweet lemon, and a hint of caramel malt. Taste of grain, lemon pulp, grapefruit zest, grass, and pine. cheap (5914) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2014
smells like strong dull ipa. medium rocky head. from a bottle. quite strong personality at first but it seems to mello just a tad after the first gulp. decently good co2 for a highly hopped brew. medicinal finish. seems like more than 6%, does not hide alky well. samsmith33 (772) - - JUN 16, 2014
Aroma: Pine, hops, citrus.
Appearance: light orange, clear. Wispy, white head.
Taste: a touch smokey, crisp , hoppy Pine aftertaste. Goes down easy and quickly.
Feel: light, airy, medium carbonation.
A very drinkable IPL.

This bottled brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy with a frothy top white colored bubbles that were and left behind a uncarbonated transparent dark orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The odd tasting flavor contained notes of bitter cardboard spices hops and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear medium straw colored body.
The aroma is like lemon cotton candy. Interesting.
The taste has a grainy-lemon undertone of bitterness all the way through, with some good malt backup. Nicely balanced.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Nice with some good flavor. jandd1983 (4390) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUN 14, 2014
On tap at Cugino’s. It poured a hazy golden/amber color with a white head. The aroma was of roasted malts and some heavy grassy hops. The taste was medium hoppy with grass and a slight roastiness. Block (2845) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Not too bad. Mild on the hops. Smooth and sweet. I thought that it had more amber lager qualities and could have used and supported more hops. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Bottle from Wegmans. This is a style I’m usually happy for but Magic Hat underwhelms me 95% of the time. This pours clear golden with a small white head that dissipates in seconds to a small film. The aroma has some faint floral notes, a tad bit of straw. Nothing that makes you think of a significant hop profile. If you would compare this to an IPL like Citra Mantra.. Citra Mantra would be a 700 on the ten scale and this would be a 1. This is basically a slightly hopped lager follows suit with Magic Hats "I Brew Crap" quality. pagecampbell (1) - - JUN 11, 2014 does not count
Love this beer. It’s the best yet and would love to see it at stores and bars more than #9.
