Bottle. haha wow this is retired i didnt even know. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet simple and malty caramel with a light grassy hoppy signature MH trademark. Eh. bsm80 (144) - Massapequa Park, New York, USA - SEP 6, 2008
Refreshing, hoppy, slightly fruity taste, nice aftertaste. This is a good beer for a summer day. ganache (5893) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 12, 2008
Bottle - appreciate the subtle artwork. Dusty malty nose, a bit of grass and dark caramel, funky hops but not in spades. Hazy amber pour with a soapy tan head. Taste is very dry, slightly dusty and a bit dirty, some caramel and earth. Lasting hoppy dryness long after. Not very crisp, but still somewhat sharp. Chalky citrus, lightish medium body. The taste is somewhat lacking here, but the feel is absolutely superb - really feels like it’s cleaning out the mouth, implores you to have four or five more. Moderately refreshing, would have again. UPDATED: JUN 29, 2008 Says they’re retired, but they’re still available here for now. Pours flat brown. A hoppy aroma that is relatively weak. Taste is that of a standard pale ale, but a bit hoppy. Hops don’t seem forced. Smooth drink. Pretty average, take or leave beer.

Definite hops, but a more smooth hops taste as opposed to many other hop infused ales. The rich golden brown color screams hops and delivers with a fruity aftertaste. The aroma is a rich fruity combination that comes through well in the beer. Tasty slow drinking beer... NaturalIce (149) - originally from Michigan, New York, USA - MAY 15, 2008
Bottle - poured out with a thin white head. Sweet aroma; somewhat hoppy. First Magic Hat experience and I’d have to say it’s a lot sweeter than I expected. Watered down Sweet & Sour flavor with a very subtle bitter finish. "Decent." tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - APR 28, 2008
Aroma of piney hops. Appearance is redddish, like most pale ales. Persistent white head. The flavor is bitter, hoppy, and malty, and a little stale. The palate leaves a modest hop burn. Decent ale, not great. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - APR 12, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2008 I was a little disappointed with this from Magic Hat. Pours a copper color with a medium to thick white head and a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Some apricot, hops and overall sweet, as most Magic Hat beers are on the sweet side, with a bitter finish. There are plenty of other beers from Magic Hat that are much better. bbp182 (255) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2008
Fat Angel by Magic Hat. What can I say? Its original and distinctivly different. Which is what Magic Hat is great at. Full bodied, sweet, malty, and complex. A great beer.
