COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fat Angel, rest his soul, had a complex palate that balances the rich pleasures of malt with the crisp refreshing flavor of hops with a finish that is fresh and clean. Eminently drinkable, Fat Angel brought divergent tastes together to create a satisfyingly smooth harmony.

Absolutely uninteresting; slightly stronger flavored than, say, Bud, but not really more exciting. 'Vermont's finest' certainly doesn't mean this beer; or, in general, this brewer (July 01) Update much the same only this time I found the body really watery -- a weak offering from a very overrated brewer (Dec 01) Update 2 (Apr 02) had this on tap and found it significantly better; still not the most characterful or distinctive brew, but very very fresh, crisp, and with a nice flavor profile that gradually segues (love that word) from fruity (apple?) sweetness into just enough hoppiness to keep you awake. In short, an eminently drinkable lighter Pale.

After just drinking Shipyard's Old Thumper, this tasted like a poor man's version of it. Almost the exact same beer, but with a little more carbonation in the finish. Overall good brew.

Finally re-rating this one. Mmmh? What can I say? It's a fairly light-tasting beer without a whole lot of flavor. Nothing really 'fat' about it at all. A little 'wet' on the palate. Somewhat hollow-tasting in the finish. Some hop bitterness... just some. Aromatics are not very charismatic. Rather disappointing; not much more than 'ok.' I probably wouldn't buy it again.

THIS PALE LACKS FLAVOR,BUT IS CREAMY AND MALTY. SOMEWHAT THICK, NEVERTHELESS, NOT VERY INTERESTING.
