Pours a finger of head on a dark brown body.
The aroma is gingerbread, cardamom and cinnamon. Quite festive.
The taste is more of the same. Very sweet, like actually eating a gingerbread house, but without the super-sweet frosting.
The texture is fairly crisp with moderate carbonation.
The taste is too sweet for me.

Smell winter spices cinnamon nutmeg and ginger. Decent body nice dark color.Not well balanced but grew on me as I drank. Some hop bite in the finish. Slight herbal medicinal finish. Bottle. Nose of ginger and spice, light caramel, touch of cinnamon, less roast. Pours a deep brown-burgundy with plenty of slow-moving carbonation, a noisy tan head. Watery body with light bitterness, light sweetness assumedly from the spice, dull caramel under stronger roast (sort of like roast chicory), a big honk of ginger to deaden the rest. Touch of cinnamon. A rye/pumpernickel finish with fresh citrus just lightly ladled on top, but only for accent. Fresh and enjoyable at a moderate pace, and there’s some good malt roundness here. Yum! 355 ml bottle. Clear, deep amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma is dominated by ginger, but also some cinnamon and caramel malt. Flavor has also lots of cinnamon, but not too much like some ginger ales tends to be with an almost burning ginger flavor. Soft caramel malt, moderate bitterness and some Christmas cake spices like cinnamon. Medium body and nice in aftertaste. This is a very nice spicy ale for me, e.g. something more than just a novelty beer, rather a beer I might enjoy to drink occasionally.

Appearance: Pours dark brown with no head.
Aroma: Mild gingerbread and dark roast. Grain.
Taste: Ginger root, a touch of curry, cola.
Mouthfeel: Thin side of medium bodied. Modest carbonation. Points awarded for a great name/label.
Overall: This beer deserved more body to go along with the sweet holiday spice profile. Over all, it didn’t deliver the goods like most holiday ales do.
