Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Black with a nice bubbly light brown head. Roasty aroma of dark chocolate, a bit of dark fruit liqueur and light vinous hints. Flavor of dark chocolate, a bit of fruity notes and nice roastiness. Medium-bodied. A very nice Stout.

Had this out of a bottle. Poured nice. Head was a little thin i thought. Aroma smelled of slight chocolate and mild roast coffee. Appearance was dark but when held up to a light a lot came through. Mild carbonation which was expected. Taste was lightly sweet. some bitter chocolate. Slight creaminess. Balanced with hop bitterness. Not a bad stout overall.

Better than your average Magic Hat, certainly. Sweeter and more chocolatey than most comparable stouts. Smoother moutfeel as well. Has a velvety texture that’s pretty appealing.

Dry, burnt notes, and some chocolate milk. Good mouthfeel. Nothing to write home about, but Magic Hat normally can’t brew a drinkable beer to save their lives, and this isn’t at all bad.
