It’s a one-dimensional stout. Initially, t’s a little fizzy. Then there’s some mild malt flavor. It’s not that interesting. jmcgavin12 (492) - Madison, USA - DEC 4, 2013
Pours dark dark brown with lots of roasted malt and coffee aromas pouring from the top. Light tan head pervades with hints of bittersweet chocolate. Taste is moderate sweet with a light body and a creamy oily aftertaste. Great for a winter’s night puboflyons (3508) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 2, 2013
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Dark brown to black pour with a long lasting, soft tan head that tickles the upper lip with its softness. The aroma is full of coffee and cocoa malts like a good stout should have. Medium and delicate body. Eruption of coffee and smoked chocolate at first that evolves quickly into a more bitter finish that lingers at the end. snoworsummer (6147) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 1, 2013
From a bottle. Pours very dark brown with a thin beige head and minimal lacing. Tastes bitter, dry, like coffee and dark chocolate. Fizzy feel. Hints of toffee and syrup sweetness. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like chocolate, toffee, with hints of bitter coffee. sonnycheeba (6439) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 1, 2013

12 ounce bottle from a Magic Hat mixpack, deep midnight black pour, some chocolate and roasted coffee/malt, a bit thin for a stout but not too bad. Very drinkable. esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Dark brown with ruby lowlights and a rocky beige slowly fading head. Semi-sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate syrup and earthy notes. Taste is a bit thin and chalky with chocolate, coffee, barley and grains. Finishes zippy and acidic. Cousin_Larry (895) - - NOV 24, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 A pretty typical stout. Nice chocolate coffee flavor with a thick body. Not as good as Guiness but still solid.
