CAn’t get excited about this one. Appearance of a pale lager. Blah Weak Octoberfest if this is trying to be one and I am not sure that it is. Tough aroma Does have a smoky thing going on in the finish and a sharp bitter bite perhaps Head stayed with it the whole glass. Got better as it warmed a bit perhaps I had it too cold. or a buzz was kicking in. Just not much going on. Some malts may try again but this one was pretty much unforgettable and on the weak side. stephenj007 (123) - Houston, Texas, USA - SEP 21, 2010
NIce looking brew, coppery red-brown, clear with a tinge of haze. Tan, foamy head, but quickly thins to nothing. Slightly nutty aroma with a bit of fall spice. Noticeable malts, very light roast. Smooth like I would expect a Vienna style to be, quality malts, a bit of hops up front, with a lightly sweet, rock candy finish. Very light carbonation.
Vienna brews have always been a favorite of mine. This is a nicely done craft brew, but I am usually expecting something from Magic Hat that tends to push the limits of beer styles to the edge.....there was no rabbit in this hat. Overall though, it was a very drinkable and enjoyable brew, true to the style. nogov (121) - Texas, USA - SEP 19, 2011
Bottle. Nose is malty bread with a hint od brown sugar. Pours deep gold with flecks of copper with off-white head. Taste is Vienna crystal malt with a vague smokiness to finish. All in all good beer. Cappadonna (110) - Delray Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2010
Pours hazy copper with tan foamy head and virtually no carbonation. The aroma is not very distance and lacking. I expected more for this style of beer. Smells sour and reminds me of a cellar. It is a mild beer with malty overtones and finishes a little bitter. Very drinkable. Taste higher than average “quality”, but nothing special going on here. 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear, amber-copper with a foamy off-white head that lasts throughout. Fair lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is sweet malt with a grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Dry finish. Light-medium body. Medium carbonation.

Orange with a half an inch of head. No lacing. Light carbonation. Lots of sweet caramel and toffee malt change to crisper apple and citrus tones. There is a slight smoke towards the finish, however, it is crowded out by a long bitter finish. daniellunsford (105) - - SEP 6, 2012
This is a much better beer than the reviews i have read are letting on. A copper hue with some smoke on the nose. Fantastic german yeastiness with a smoky, caramel nature, and bitter bubbly finish. DANEgerous (96) - Texas, USA - SEP 20, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2012 Aroma: is nice it smells slightly sweet an nutty though quite faint
Appearance: A nice amber, the color you thin of when you think of beer (unless you are one of them light beer drinkers)
Taste: Nice quite sweet almost of burn sugar or caramel, it is quite unique and almost taste like glazed cherry at times.
Palate: Good and easy to drink, it has several subtle notes yet doe have a short abrupt finish
Overall: My biggest gripe is that this is marked as an Oktoberfest beer. It has none of the massive hops or nearly endless finish you expect from beer of it breed but it does do one thing well and that is remind you of autumn. Yes it is almost candy like in some ways, it is sweet, fairly complex, and easy to eat... ehr I mean drink.
All in all a good intro for anyone new to craft beer though not in anyway mind blowing, well rounded, interesting and not bad at all.

This beer is one of the reasons I’m always wary of Oktoberfest’s when the fall rush comes out in September. This beer doesn’t taste like anything. The nose is good with some bread and spice notes and the body is a brilliant copper color with a watery, off-white head. Take a sip of it and you get a nice rush of carbonation but that is about it. There is a malty body with slight spicy notes but the beer falls just short of culminating and amounting to anything really. If you’re going down the aisle at the liquor store or perusing the tap handles at your local pub looking for an Oktoberfest, skip this one. joesf35 (77) - Margate, Florida, USA - SEP 4, 2012
This beer smells like a fart. Once you realize this you can’t get passed it. One of the worst oktoberfest beers available.
