The porch isn’t in plain view???
Where the hell is your UPS guy leaving your boxes? In the middle of the driveway?
Ar: Toasted malt and sweet caramel.
Ap: Deep amber, clear, medium-small light tan head with good retention and nice lacing - fine bubbles.
T: Sweet malt with some cherry - not much sweetness, and some phenolic astringency - finish is a bit tannic.
P: Light bodied with medium carbonation - dries out even more on finish.
O: This beer is somewhat of a mess - some interesting flavors, but they clash - also, the astringency is a bit too prominent, without anything to balance it out. czar (9066) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 13, 2011
on tap at brewpub. clear light amber with a small head, retention and lacing. light toastiness, faint roasted malts notes, light acidity. aggressive carbonation, light body. bad. Stracey (39) - Pelham, Alabama, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Ok beer. Pours a nice amber color. Very little aroma. Some toffee. Caramel and toffee taste. A little on the sweet side overall. Very little carbonation. beerdad (397) - Kansas, USA - OCT 17, 2010
bottled. pours clear amber with a medium off white head. aromas of soap, grass and caramel. it is moderately sour, which is the lasting notes on your palate. not a very good beer.

I am beginning to get embarrassed writing up these beer reviews for my tastings of Magic Hat brews. This is the ‘Hex’ and I reckon that is what they will have to put me under in order to get me to enjoy any of their brews! Seriously, I have tried several from their line up and none have impressed me in any way except to be a brewery line to tell folks not to try. I will say that of those brews from Magic Hat that I have tried, this one the most preferred. The sweetness and bitterness in the beer were balanced but very lack-luster and again another bland beer. Give it a try as it may be one that you might like; but if you don’t like it, well, it is not like I didn’t warn ya! GhostFace (321) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 27, 2011
bottle poured into pint glass. yellow/orange pour. lacking in aroma, grainy and cheap beer reminiscent. light bodied and tastes like grain. meeeeh... Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Not much of an aroma, I get a slight corn sugar smell. Amber in color with short white disappearing head. Very sweet on the tongue with a little smooked malt coming through. I get a lot of the cherry wood coming through that they used. Definitely get some caramel notes in there. Doesn’t remind me much of an Oktoberfest style beer. swigswthwolves (74) - Michigan City, Indiana, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Not what one would expect from an Octoberfest. Pours light amber with no head. Taste is of light malts and finishes clean. Kind of a boring take on a good style. nyindiansfan (463) - rochester, New York, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Bottle pours a amber tastes smells sweet bit spice not much hops has some malt. Not really anything either way magic hat sucks balls.
