COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Pours a hazy, golden with about 1’’ of white head that dissipated rather quickly leaving very little lacing. Aroma is very weak. There might be a little bit of breadiness but hops are minimal with nothing standing out. There is no noticeable pine or citrus. Taste is a little sweet initially but then transitions to bitterness. Once again nothing stands out and this is a very bland beer. I read reviews by some comparing this to the better DIPAs out there. That is crazy and I think there are IPAs out there that blow this away. I did consume this after having several Two Hearted Ales (as well as other beers) so perhaps this review isn’t fair. Still, I have had many Magic Hat varieties over the years and have never been impressed by any of them.

Ok beer. very drinkable. A rather lighter IPA than usual. not that hoppy. Hop usually give a fine frothy head. Not this. Although a very drinkable beer and would buy it again.

Bottle from wegmans. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma has a grassy quality, almost like a good pilsner. The taste is light bitter, sweet grapefruit, dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden. Not a great aroma as far as IPAs go. Good hoppy flavor. My favorite of their beers. Revere Stryker dog!

Rated on 4-24-2009. This bottled beer pours a medium sized off-white frothy and very fizzy head with good retention. The hue of this beer’s body is golden, the carbonation is fizzy and fast rising and there is a good amount of lacing. The Aroma is malty, fruity and citrus hops. Ditto for the taste along with some pine hops. The Palate is lightly tingly and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable IPA and worth trying.

EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - SEP 11, 2013
This beer pours a hazy golden color with lots of fine-grain sediment floating throughout and a large white head, and the aroma is a blend of earthy yeast and floral and resin hops. The taste is quite bitter on the front that then subsides a little to reveal a mild sourness and a slight sweetness, which isn’t necessarily the best combination because of that sour. The palate is fairly decent, though, due to the medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, and long finish.

RedEft (155) - Wichita, Kansas, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Poured a pretty gold with a white head. Aroma of hops and pennies. Taste is alcohol and bitter lemon at the front, with a somewhat metallic hop finish. Grows on me with each drink, and balances out more. Nice beer overall.

Mild slight flavor upfront with a lingering hoppy flavor. The hops are sharp and crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

To keep it simple it’s a good beer not the best but good. For the price your getting a 6.7 abv beer with a strong hop aroma and a nice hoopy bite. Buy it, drink it, enjoy !!

Smells strong, more like a double than a single IPA. The color is nice orange. I’m glad there were 3 of these in the 12 pack because I wasn’t convinced after the first two. This is actually pretty decent. Not anything extraordinary but certainly a satisfying IPA.
