Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, its an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. Its the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

08.10.04 22oz bomber found in the back of the singles cooler at Wakefield Liquors, RI. Stupid hotel lights are all flourescent so the beer looks green-ish gold. The head is big with big bubbles, the body is slightly hazed. Aromas smack of candied flowers, Pez, and other flowery/fruity aromatic things. There is a decent malty backbone, but this beers main purpose seems to be aroma. There is a grapefruit pith sharpness, but even that is sugar coated. Medium palate. Quaffable, but not exciting. I guess this beer is a year old, but it was in the cooler at the store...maybe it has lost some of its hoppy goodness.

[draught] Anyone that has tried a number of Magic Hat beers is all too familiar with that "Magic Hat taste" - Im not quite sure what it is (maybe its hemp or some crap), but its there, and sometimes it works, and other times it doesnt - well this beer tastes like nothing BUT that "Magic Hat taste" - I cant understand it, there are no other flavors detectable, besides a moderate amount of hops - it really is the damnedest thing.

Bottle - Pours a Darkish amber with a loose white head that disapates. Aroma is of citus, fruity hops. Flavor is strongly of hops wihtout much malt, Grapefruit and citrus very apprent with a large hop bite ... quite bitter and yummy. Finish is quite bitter and hop laced with a lightly sweet undertone. Other do not seem to like it ... strong, hoppy, bitter ... I REALLY like it! This is hophead beer...Yum!

Honey colored brew with a loose white head. Nose reminded me of old fruit. Tastes of tropical fruit, peaches that are way past their prime.

musty pine aroma, clear gold color, thin body, sour rather than bitter in the flavor, not a very good IPA

Very good IPA. Good fruity, hoppy aroma. OK light amber/golden appearnce. Medium white head. Good lacing. Hops arent too overpowering, but good. Pretty sweet taste. More people should try it.

Apricot nose and aroma. Very hoppy too - but somehow edgy and unbalanced. Short finish - not that good.

Wow. What an aroma! Big, juicy, leafy hops make the salivary glands set to working. The flavor is more big, juicy hops, but theres not a lot of bitterness. The body is a tad thin with the malt being overwhelmed by the hop bloom, but oh the glorious hops. Clear dark golden body with an ok white head.
